SIMSBURY, CT — Wolcott Road was closed between Wescott Road and Wolcott Woods Road early Monday morning following a vehicle crash that damaged a utility pole, according to the Simsbury Police Department.
Police issued the road closure alert late Sunday night, June 7, and said utility crews are replacing the damaged pole.
The closure was expected to remain in place for "several hours" while repairs were completed.
No information about injuries or the circumstances of the crash was immediately available.
Officials advised motorists seeking access to Wolcott Woods and destinations east of the closure to use Floydville Road in neighboring Granby as a detour.
Police urged drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the road reopens.
