Fourth Of July 2026: Simsbury Announces Town Impacts

The Fourth of July is this Saturday, with the observed holiday taking place this Friday, July 3.

SIMSBURY, CT — With America celebrating a very, very special 250th birthday this Saturday, July 4, Simsbury leaders have announced municipal impacts regarding services in town.

Several Town of Simsbury facilities will close in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Town officials announced that Town Offices, Eno Memorial Hall, and the Simsbury Public Library will be closed on Friday, July 3, in recognition of the holiday.

Regular operations are expected to resume on Monday, July 6.

In addition, the Simsbury Bulky Waste and Recycling Center, located on Wolcott Road, will be closed Saturday, July 4.

Residents planning to visit town offices, the library, or the recycling center are encouraged to plan for the holiday closures.
