SIMSBURY, CT — Chipotle Mexican Grill has opened its first Simsbury location, bringing the fast-casual chain to Hopmeadow Street and adding another dining option to the town's commercial corridor.
The restaurant opened this month at 1263 Hopmeadow St. and is open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to the company.
The Simsbury restaurant features a "Chipotlane," the company's drive-through pickup lane.
Unlike a traditional drive-through where customers order from their vehicles, the Chipotlane allows customers to pick up digital orders without leaving their cars.
The company is also promoting several offers and menu items in connection with the new location.
On Sundays, Aug. 23, Aug. 30, and Sept. 6, customers who order at least two entrées after 3 p.m. through the Chipotle app or website can receive a free entrée using the promotional code "SUNDAYS," according to the company.
The Simsbury restaurant is also serving Chipotle Honey Chicken, a limited-time protein option. Other offerings include the chain's high-protein menu, with items ranging from 15 to 81 grams of protein, as well as its Build Your Own Family Meals.
Chipotle said it is hiring at the new Simsbury restaurant. The company said its restaurants have approximately 30 jobs per location.
Benefits offered to eligible employees include a crew bonus program with the opportunity to earn up to an additional month's pay each year, debt-free college degree programs, English-as-a-second-language programs, and access to mental health care for employees and their families.
The company is also promoting its revamped Chipotle Rewards program, which includes monthly food offers and customizable birthday rewards.
