SIMSBURY, CT — A local nonprofit organization has launched a $1.5 million fundraising campaign to build a new sports pavilion at Simsbury High School.
Friends of Simsbury Athletics, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking community support for a facility that would provide concessions, restrooms and team rooms at the high school's athletic fields.
The organization is working to raise awareness of the project as it moves toward its fundraising goal.
The proposed pavilion is intended to improve amenities available to student-athletes, families, and spectators using the high school athletic complex.
Friends of Simsbury Athletics is seeking donations from community members and supporters to help finance construction of the project.
The organization has established BuiltByTrojans.org as the campaign website, where residents can learn more about the pavilion and make contributions.
Additional information about the project and fundraising campaign is expected to be released as the effort moves forward.
