SIMSBURY, CT — Visitors to the Simsbury Public Library should be aware that the building's elevator is temporarily out of service.
The library, located at 725 Hopmeadow St., announced the outage Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 26, and said getting the elevator repaired is a priority for both the library and the Town of Simsbury.
"We are sorry to share that our elevator is temporarily out of order," the library said. "It is a high priority for the library and the town, and we are working to get it repaired as quickly as possible."
No estimated date for completion of the repairs was provided.
Library staff is available to assist visitors who need materials or other items located on a different floor while the elevator is unavailable.
"Staff (members) are happy to assist you, should you need something from another floor," the library said.
