SIMSBURY, CT — Trinity Health Of New England highlighted a patient's cancer care journey and raised support for thoracic oncology services at its fifth annual Making Miracles Happen gala.
Hundreds of clinicians, employees, benefactors, local leaders and other guests attended the Oct. 3 event at The Riverview in Simsbury, according to Trinity Health Of New England.
A featured video told the story of a patient who received an unexpected lung diagnosis and highlighted the providers, nurses, technicians, and support staff involved in her care.
"We are grateful that we were able to gather and celebrate the miracles that happen across our hospitals and ambulatory sites," Timothy R. Stanton, regional vice president of philanthropy for Trinity Health of New England, said. "Honoring this courageous patient and her care team reminds us that our efforts and support can help transform the lives of our patients, and that is incredibly important."
Gala proceeds will support Trinity Health of New England's Thoracic Oncology Program across the region, including Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
WTNH News 8 "Good Morning Connecticut" anchors Keith Kountz and Laura Hutchinson served as emcees.
The event also featured entertainment from XS Band and photo opportunities for guests.
