Apartment Fire Temporarily Closes Route 10 in Simsbury: UPDATED
A major road through Simsbury was closed for about two hours due to the fire, police said.

SIMSBURY, CT — A fire in a Simsbury apartment complex caused temporary closure of Route 10, or Hopmeadow Street, police said.
Around 10 a.m., police and firefighters responded to the Meadow Apartments at 51 Hopmeadow Lane. The fire was contained to a single unit in the complex, police said.
Route 10 was closed from Old Meadow Plain Road to Lincoln Lane, according to police. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes. The road reopened around noon.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
