Area Teams Run Well at Stratton Brook Invitational

Individuals from Canton and Manchester won the large school varsity races, while Glastonbury captured the large school girls team title.

SIMSBURY, CT — More than 900 high school cross country runners converged on a state park in Simsbury Saturday for the 37th annual Stratton Brook Invitational.

Max Sparks of Canton and Kate Hedlund of Manchester captured the boys and girls large school varsity races, while Connor McNerney and Angela Saidman made it a clean sweep for Immaculate in the small school varsity events.

Glastonbury (girls) and Staples (boys) won the varsity team titles for large schools, and Immaculate snared both titles in the small school division.
