Colgate University, Hamilton NY

• Jolene Patrina, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2019, has earned the fall 2018 Dean's Award with Distinction. Patrina is a graduate of Westminster School, from West Simsbury. Patrina's current major is History. Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses during the fall 2018 semester earn the Dean's Award with Distinction.
• Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade earn the fall 2018 Dean's Award for Academic Excellence. Simsbury High School graduate Molly Brian is a member of the Colgate Class of 2021 and is currently an undeclared major. Simsbury High School graduate Abigail Fleming is a member of the Colgate Class of 2019 and is currently a Biology major.

Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown PA

• Ashleigh Denault, a class of 2020 health & occupation major from Simsbury, was among the Elizabethtown College students whose outstanding academic performances have earned them the recognition of being included on the fall 2018 dean's list. Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or higher in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.

University of Rochester, Rochester NY

• Sophomore Terry Cook of Simsbury broke a 29-year school record in the Men’s Pole Vault with his 4.65 meter (15’3”) jump at the Liberty League Athletics Championships. This tied him for second in the meet and is currently #23 in NCAA Division III. Cook is a sophomore at the University of Rochester studying Mechanical Engineering. He graduated from Simsbury High School in 2017.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Western New England University congratulates over 400 students, including two from Simsbury, named to the fall 2018 President's List. Students are named to the President's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher. Honorees from Simsbury are Madeline Mancarella, majoring in Communication/Media Theory & Production, and Brendan Kaljulaid, majoring in Accounting.
• Nicholas J. Peluso of West Simsbury has been named to the Dean's List at Western New England University for the fall semester 2018. Peluso is working toward a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Students are named to the Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.
