  • The Eastern Chamber Singers at Eastern Connecticut State University is amid its spring 2019 season of performance. The Chamber Choir is a vocal ensemble comprised of 20-25 auditioned singers from departments throughout the University. Among the singers is Kaylee West of Tariffville, who majors in Business Administration and Communication and sings Alto.
  • The Concert Chorale at Eastern Connecticut State University is amid its spring 2019 season performance. The Concert Chorale is a vocal ensemble comprised of choral and orchestral masterworks. Among the students are: Madison Bailey of Simsbury, who majors in Pre-Early Childhood Education and Theatre and sings Alto, and Kaylee West of Tariffville, who majors in Business Administration and Communication and sings Alto.

  • Joy Tso of West Simsbury was named to the full-time President's List at MCC for the fall 2018 semester, while Simsbury residents Samantha Betti, Margaret Gammell and Jason Trainor made the part-time President's List. This recognizes the exceptional scholarship of full- and part-time students who earn a 4.0 or “A” grade point average in their courses. Full-time students who have completed at least 12 credits for the semester with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in the semester are eligible for this honor. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester - and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC - are eligible for the Part-Time President’s List.
  • Dean's List honorees from Simsbury for the fall 2018 semester at MCC are Carolyn Chrostowski, Meghan Griffith, Jeremy Rankin, Ashley Trosell, Matthew
    Hess and Alexander Romejko. Full-time students enrolled in 12 credits or more and who have earned a GPA of 3.4 with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in that semester are eligible for the Dean’s List. Part-time students are eligible for recognition with the same criteria when they have completed 12 or more credits of work with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
