SIMSBURY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Clemson University, Clemson SC

• Five students from Simsbury have been named to the Dean's List at Clemson University for the spring 2019 semester. They are Elise Katrine Hildebrandt, whose major is Biological Sciences; Charles Richard Hitson, whose major is General Engineering; Julie M. Longfritz, whose major is Economics; Griffin Edward Myslow, whose major is Computer Engineering; and Nicholas Andrew Ratajczak, whose major is General Engineering. To be named to the Dean's List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

Colgate University, Hamilton NY

• Members of the Class of 2019 received their diplomas May 19 at Colgate University's 198th Commencement. Abigail Fleming, a graduate of Simsbury High School, of Simsbury, majored in biology with a minor in creative writing. Jolene Patrina, a graduate of Westminster School, of West Simsbury, majored in history with a minor in anthropology.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Hannah Denhof of Simsbury has been named to Emmanuel College's Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Stonehill College, Easton MA

• Natalie McDonough, of Simsbury, a member of the Class of 2020, has been named to the spring 2019 Dean's List at Stonehill College. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the spring 2019 Dean's List, which includes seven residents of Simsbury. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Honorees from Simsbury are Joe Connors, Casey Croft, Brenna Kelly, Jon Laiuppa, Jessica Ouellette, Tyrus Perdue and Nick Snow.
