Around the Campuses - Simsbury College Students

SIMSBURY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport IA

• Kelly Kimball of Weatogue has been named to the summer 2018 Dean's List at Palmer College of Chiropractic's main campus in Davenport, Iowa. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must achieve a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 in all studies for the respective term. The highest possible GPA is a 4.0. She has also been accepted for enrollment in the fall 2018 trimester in the Doctor of Chiropractic degree program.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Led by seven three-time honorees, WPI placed 72 fall student-athletes, including soccer player Spencer Ralphs of Simsbury, on their respective NEWMAC Academic All-Conference teams. Football led the department with 21 selections while volleyball boasted a NEWMAC-best nine. Men's soccer boasted 11, followed by women's soccer (9) and field hockey (8). Women's cross country once again tied its program record with eight and men's cross country produced six. Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2018 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at his/her institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
