Block Party To Celebrate Simsbury Golf Course's Birthday

The Simsbury Culture, Parks and Recreation Department will conclude the summer events related to Simsbury Farms 50th Anniversary Saturday.

SIMSBURY, CT — The Simsbury Culture, Parks and Recreation Department will be concluding the summer events related to the Simsbury Farms 50th Anniversary Celebration with a Block Party at Simsbury Farms on Saturday, Aug. 27.

The town-owned Simsbury Farms Golf Course is located at 100 Old Farms Road.

The event begins at 4:30 p.m. and will include inflatable amusements for children, a concert by 1980’s tribute band the Pop Rocks from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and a spectacular fireworks show from the Simsbury Farms Golf Course at approximately 8:45 p.m. to conclude the event.

The fireworks show is expected to last approximately 15 minutes.

Guests are advised that for safety reasons, any shells that do not go off during the fireworks show as planned must be released. This would occur approximately 30 minutes after the show.

This event is free to Simsbury residents and there will be food available for purchase from the Hilltop Grille and also the Hilltop Grille Food Truck.

Onsite parking at Simsbury Farms is limited; shuttle bus service will be available to and from the Simsbury High School main parking area from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Participants are asked to bring their own chairs or blanket to sit and enjoy the event.
