Come away to ancient Scotland with us as we celebrate the birthday of Robert Burns, the national poet of Scotland and a true bard. Our very own Cottage Bard, Marcie Swift, will read the lyrics and play the music of Burns’ Ae Fond Kiss with Gordon. Hear the Song of the Water Kelpie, a supernatural breed that has been known to emit a plaintive cry at the water’s edge.
This promises to be a program that enchants and delights all the senses. Fiddle & Harp is known for its eclectic mix of music and tales from throughout the world. Gordon Swift, with his Ph.D in Ethnomusicology is known for his fine inspiring violin playing. Marcie Swift, both psychologist and therapeutic harpist, is recognized for playing her harp strings with delicacy and tenderness. Enjoy authentic Scottish shortbread and other delicacies!
