Busy Simsbury Road Has New Speed Limit

Police issued a reminder of the situation on Friday.

SIMSBURY, CT — Motorists who regularly drive through Simsbury should take note of a recent speed limit change in town.

Simsbury police Friday reminded folks that Route 10 (Hopmeadow Street) between Owens Brook Boulevard and Plank Hill Road now has a 30 mph speed limit.

That is 5 mph less than the prior, 35 mph limit.

It means if you do the old speed limit, you might get a ticket.

Police said signs posting the new speed limit are up.
