These works have all established their authors as masters of composition. Beethoven’s Trio op.1 #3, was both dynamic and controversial. In this piece, he makes it clear that he is progressing to a new way of composing, and his confident exhilaration is unmistakable. Written in memory of his brother, Daron Hagen’s adaptation of “Wayfaring Stranger” is in the grand tradition of the folk-to-classical genre. This piece brilliantly combines the themes of redemption and deliverance contained in this traditional spiritual, along with classical development and depth, to form a richly haunting and affecting work. In composing his sole piano trio, Maurice Ravel adopted an orchestral approach to create a large, powerful work that stands at the apex of the piano-trio repertoire.Making extensive use of the extreme ranges of each instrument, he developed an unusually rich texture of sound for a chamber work, one which demands a high level of technical proficiency from all three musicians. Part of the work’s brilliance lies in its organization: for all its innovations and multiple sources, this extraordinary piece resides within a conventional classical framework.

Brynn will show you all the basics that you need to know to operate and create projects with the Library's Embroidery machine. All materials will be provided. Please bring a notebook and pen to take notes. If you forget, we will have paper and pens to use.
This is a small class with one embroidery machine available. Brynn will demonstrate the machine's operations, and hopefully, everyone will be able to operate the machine by the end of the workshop.

This group will foster a community of makers interested in lifelong learning and creativity. The small group will learn a variety of skills through demonstrations, collaboration, and a community-building of makers helping makers to be able to make more things in our Innovators' Workshop Makerspace. Library Staff will lead the group, starting with Amlisha, but this will not be a classroom type of learning. Amlisha will focus on one project for part of the time to show the group how to use that week's equipment and supplies.
To participate, you will need to register in advance and fill out our <a href="https://www.simsburylibrary.info/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/IW-Liability-Waiver-and-Hold-Harmless-Agreement-September-2022.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Liability Waiver</a>. For the time being, you may register for multiple weeks, but may be asked to give others a chance if the group fills up over time. Join Library Staff for a 3D Printing workshop! Limited to adults and teens 13+ years of age (teens must be registered for the class with a parent/caregiver.)
Our staff will teach you some basic functions in the Bambu Labs 3D printing software, so that you will be able to print your project on your own in the makerspace at a later time. Staff will perform a demonstration on the Bambu Printers during the workshop.
Space is limited for this class, registration required.
Anyone taking the class will need to&nbsp;fill out an&nbsp;Innovators’ Workshop Liability Waiver and Hold Harmless Agreement.&nbsp; You can fill out the forms before training by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.simsburylibrary.info/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/IW-Liability-Waiver-and-Hold-Harmless-Agreement-September-2022.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">downloading here</a>,&nbsp;or arrive early to fill out the paperwork at the start of training in the makerspace.
