The end of summer is a unique time of year when hints of fall begin to emerge, and an excellent time to begin, continue, or restart a nature journaling practice. Humans, animals, and plants are all beginning to shift at this time; people begin to focus on harvest and returning to school routines, animals may begin migrating, and plants release their seeds. Nature journaling is relaxing, centering, and grounding. Together, we will learn to closely observe the natural world and record our personal experiences using writing and/or expressive drawing. This is a great way to learn mindfulness, get connected to the present moment, appreciate nature and the environment all around us, and learn in a supportive and community atmosphere. No experience needed! All supplies provided. If weather conditions are favorable, we will be spending some time outside walking on a trail behind the library, so prepare for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
