Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- The Concert Chorale and Chamber Singers at Eastern Connecticut State University performed their premier concert of the fall semester, "Magnificently Mistaken," on Nov. 21 in the Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Instructional Center. Conducted by David Belles and Sarah Kaufold, the three-part performance featured musical compositions that are cloaked in mystery; with misleading twists and mistakenly developed histories. Madison Bailey of Simsbury was one of the singers that participated in the concert. Bailey majors in Early Childhood Education and Theatre and sang the alto vocal part in the concert.
Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport IA

- Kelly Kimball of Weatogue, a student in the Doctor of Chiropractic Program at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, has been named to the summer 2017 trimester Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must achieve a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 in all studies for the respective term. The highest possible GPA is a 4.00.
Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven CT
- Southern Connecticut State University baseball coach Tim Shea has announced the signing of Brandon White of Simsbury to a National Letter of Intent, to begin play with the Owls during the 2019 campaign. White, a 6-foot-1 right-handed pitcher, earned All-Conference honors at Simsbury High School and is a three-year varsity starter. White also served as an East Coast Area Code Team representative and is an honor roll student.
Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove PA

- Talia Basch of Simsbury is among the 212 students recently named Susquehanna University Scholars.
The annual Scholars Program, held on Nov. 3, recognized Susquehanna's most successful student scholars. To be named a University Scholar, students must have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 in full-time study for the past two semesters or equivalent credit hours of part-time study. Basch was also elected by fellow students to Susquehanna University's homecoming court. The court was first introduced at the Homecoming Semi-Formal on Oct. 20, and again at the football game on Oct. 21 during Homecoming-Reunion Weekend. Basch is a communications major in the Class of 2020. A 2015 graduate of The Ethel Walker School, she is the daughter of Alan and Clarissa Basch.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA
- Harry Saperstein of Simsbury has earned a spot on the 2017-2018 WPI swimming & diving team.
