SIMSBURY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Belmont University, Nashville TN

• A pair of students from Simsbury achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the fall 2017 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C. Local honorees are Lauren Law and Michael Rooney. Approximately 35 percent of Belmont's 8,080 students qualified for the fall 2017 Dean's List.

Champlain College, Burlington VT

• Nicolas Alibrio of Tariffville has been named to the Champlain College Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. Students on the Dean's List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester. Alibrio is majoring in Game Production Management.

Elmira College, Elmira NY

• Stephen Morganti of Simsbury has been named to the Elmira College Dean's List for the fall 2017 term. Full-time students who achieve a grade point average of 3.600 or higher at the end of any Term I or Term II are placed on the Dean's List at the college.
