Goodwin College, East Hartford CT
- Simsbury resident Marc Conrad has achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average at Goodwin College for the fall 2017 session, earning a spot on the elite President's List. The List is the highest academic honor roll at Goodwin College. To qualify for the President's List, a student must be enrolled in at least six credits at Goodwin College and earn perfect marks in all classes.
- Goodwin College announces that 963 students achieved Dean's List status for the fall 2017 session. Honorees from Simsbury are Kimberly Cabral, Marc Conrad, Ruth Gardner, Karen Jensen, Amy Lenarz and Natalie Mellish-Konzack.
Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

- Four students from Simsbury made the Dean's List for the fall semester at the Rochester Institute of Technology. They are Rowan Ogilvie, who is in the bioinformatics program; Nathan Palmer, who is in the mechanical engineering program; Dan Schenk, who is in the mechanical engineering program; and Jack Tighe, who is in the electrical engineering program. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
St. Lawrence University, Canton NY
- A pair of local students have been selected for inclusion on the Dean's List for academic achievement during the fall 2017 semester at St. Lawrence University. They are Katherine B. Angus of Weatogue, a member of the Class of 2020, and Morgan E. Ryan of West Simsbury, a member of the Class of 2020. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.
- Alexandra E. Clark of West Simsbury is participating in a St. Lawrence University off-campus study abroad program during the spring 2018 semester. Clark is a member of the Class of 2019 and is majoring in performance and communication arts and English. She is studying abroad with St. Lawrence University's Liberal Arts in New York City off-campus program. Nearly three-quarters of St. Lawrence University undergraduates study abroad, with nearly two-thirds of students studying abroad for a semester or longer.
