Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta GA

  • Hunter Goman of West Simsbury has earned a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Goman was among approximately 3,700 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech's 255th Commencement exercises on May 4-5, 2018, at the McCamish Pavilion.

  • Manchester Community College is pleased to announce its roster of students achieving President’s List recognition for the spring 2018 semester. The President’s List recognizes the exceptional scholarship of full- and part-time students who earn a 4.0 or “A” grade point average in their courses. Full-time students who have completed at least 12 credits for the semester with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in the semester are eligible for this honor. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester, and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC, are eligible for the Part-Time President’s List. Jeremy Rankin of Simsbury made the full time list, while Simsbury residents Alicia Drapeau, Margaret Gammell and Helene Schmidt earned part time honors.
  • Simsbury residents Alexandria Denault and Fabiola Kulig were named to the MCC dean's list for the spring 2018 semester. Full-time students enrolled in 12 credits or more and who have earned a GPA of 3.4 with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in that semester are eligible for the Dean’s List. Part-time students are eligible for recognition with the same criteria when they have completed 12 or more credits of work with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher. They may be subsequently recognized at successive 12-credit intervals.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

  • Springfield College has named Damian Mackay-Morgan of Simsbury to the dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2018 term. Mackay-Morgan is studying Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.
