Campus Notes - Simsbury College Students

SIMSBURY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

James Madison University, Harrisonburg VA

• Meghan Elizabeth Driscoll of Weatogue graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies from James Madison University during the May 4, 2018 commencement exercises. Driscoll was among more than 4,400 students who received undergraduate, master's, educational specialist and doctoral degrees.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Stephanie Nolin of Simsbury has earned a master's of science degree in Exercise Science and Sport Studies from Springfield College for studies completed in 2018. At the graduate commencement ceremony, 626 master's degrees, three certificates of advanced graduate study, nine Doctor of Philosophy degrees, 33 Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees, and five Doctor of Psychology degrees were awarded. At the undergraduate commencement, 817 bachelor's degrees were awarded for a two-day total of 1,493 degrees.

Union College, Schenectady NY

• Nearly 500 students graduated from Union College on Sunday, June 17 during the College's 224th Commencement exercises. Kevin Jordan, of West Simsbury, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Visual Arts, and Jessica Rosenthal, of West Simsbury, graduated with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology and English.
