SIMSBURY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Clemson University, Clemson SC

• Jennifer L. Falkner of Simsbury has been named to the President's List at Clemson University. Falkner, whose major is Economics, made the President's List for the spring 2019 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all As) grade-point average.

Dean College, Franklin MA

• Dean College is pleased to announce that Max Burger of Simsbury has earned a place on the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester.

Ithaca College, Ithaca NY

• William Bunn of Simsbury was part of the Ithaca College Ad Lab team that won the American Advertising Federation's National Student Advertising Competition on Friday, June 7, in Hollywood, Florida. The team competed against seven other schools, with Liberty University coming in second and Syracuse University finishing third. The students are all participants in the college's Ad Lab, a senior capstone campaigns course in the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) major, housed within the Roy H. Park School of Communications.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Simon Nigro of Simsbury, a Psychology major at Lasell College, was named to the spring 2019 Dean's List. He achieved a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher with at least 12 completed credits to merit this accomplishment.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Harrison Saperstein of Simsbury, a member of the class of 2020 majoring in robotics engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense, hands-on research through the WPI project center in Worcester, England. The project was titled Benchmarking Sustainability.
