- Patrick Long, Class of 2018, from Simsbury, was named to the dean's list at Bucknell University during the spring semester of the 2017-18 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

- At a Wesleyan University prize reception on May 9, Simsbury native Austin Pope was awarded the David A. Titus Memorial Prize, which is given to support the summer studies of a deserving Wesleyan junior majoring in government, East Asian studies, or the College of Social Studies. Pope formerly attended Westminster School.
Wheaton College, Wheaton IL
- Wheaton College student Grace Gibbs of West Simsbury recently received the Fadenrecht Memorial Scholarship. This honor was announced by the Education Department at Wheaton College's Honors Convocation ceremony. The Fadenrecht Memorial Fund provides funds based on merit for Education majors.
