On Campus - Simsbury College Students

SIMSBURY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Saint Francis University, Loretto PA

• Kristin Aponte, of Simsbury graduated with a Master of Physician Assi Degree from Saint Francis University during the May 13, 2018 commencement exercises.

University of Vermont, Burlington VT

• Some 3,055 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 217th commencement ceremonies. Alexander Nemerov, alumnus and one of the nations' leading art historians and scholar of cultural history, delivered the address. Graduates from Simsbury were Nicholas Bredice, Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering; Owen Dumais, Bachelor of Science, Forestry; and Loren Fillmore, Bachelor of Science, Public Communication.
• The following students from Simsbury have been named to the University of Vermont Dean's List:
  Callahan Bredice, Kelly McAlpine, Gabrielle Ostrov, Katelyn Paddock, Madison Panyard, Lia Ricciuti and Andrew Simeon. To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
