Car Thieves, Burglars Strike A Dozen Times In Simsbury

A dozen vehicles were either broken into or stolen Sunday night into early Monday morning, Simsbury police said.

SIMSBURY, CT — A dozen vehicles were either broken into or stolen Sunday night into early Monday morning, Simsbury police said.

The thieves hit the south porti0n of town, police said. Three of the vehicles were stolen and two of them were recovered, police said. The other nine were burglarized, police said.

Every car was unlocked, police said.

Police reiterated their standing suggestion to residents that vehicles should be locked and FOB keys taken out of range. Police also said that if residents see anything suspicious to contact them, "no matter what time of day it is."
