SIMSBURY, CT — Simsbury police are crediting a cellphone put to good use for finding a hiker who was turned around at Talcott Mountain State Park on Monday. The hiker called dispatchers at about 1:45 p.m. from a trail near the helipad, police said. A search crew was sent to the area and the hiker was located within an hour, police said.
