Ceremony Scheduled After Simsbury Wins Veterans Memorial Grant

A ceremony has been scheduled after Simsbury was awarded a grant to complete its veterans memorial

The $150,000 STEAP grant through the state will allow the town to recigonzie the 104 residents who gave their lives in service of the country.

The ceremony will take place on April 13 at 7 p.m. at Simsbury Town Hall.

“We are thrilled to have received this critical funding for this most worthwhile initiative honoring our nation’s beloved veterans, particularly those from Simsbury. We thank the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1926 and the American Legion Post 84 for their dynamic leadership on this effort and for all of their hard work,” said State Rep. John Hampton.
