College Accomplishments By Simsbury Students

SIMSBURY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

St. Lawrence University, Canton NY

• Morgan E. Ryan of West Simsbury has been selected for inclusion on St. Lawrence University's Dean's List for academic achievement during the spring 2019 semester. Ryan is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in statistics. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT

• The 48th Commencement of Tunxis Community College was held on May 30 at Central Connecticut State University. A total of 525 graduates were conferred associate degrees and certificates from 59 Connecticut towns as well as Massachusetts. Those who were conferred degrees in December 2018 were also recognized at the ceremony. Graduates from Simsbury were Jaime J. Camacho, Kyle Corrigan, Tyler Forzono, Andrew T. Hecht, William C. Kendall Jr., Abdulaziz Khadeer, Zoie Raters, Matthew W. Allen, Connor M. Garceau, Morgan A. Reich, Danica A. Urda and Sean Turley.

Union College, Schenectady NY

• Jordan Whaley, of Simsbury, was named to the 2019 Dean's List at Union College.
  Whaley is a member of the Class of 2019, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Comprised annually, the Union College Dean's List honors students who have a grade point average of 3.5 for the entire academic year and meet certain other requirements.
