College Achievements By Simsbury Students

SIMSBURY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Clemson University, Clemson SC

• Four students from Simsbury have been named to the fall 2018 President's List at Clemson University. They are: Annie Mckay Deliso, who is majoring in Health Science; Jennifer L. Falkner, who is majoring in Economics; Nicholas Andrew Ratajczak, who is majoring in General Engineering; and Elise Katrine Hildebrandt, who is majoring in Biological Sciences. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all As) grade-point average.
• Two students from Weatogue have been named to the fall 2018 Dean's List at Clemson University. They are Julie M. Longfritz, who is majoring in Economics, and Griffin Edward Myslow, who is majoring in Computer Engineering. To be named to the Dean's List, a student achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Three Springfield College students from Simsbury were named to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the fall 2018 term: Cailin Feldman, studying American Studies; Damian Mackay-Morgan, studying Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; and Jack Rosenberg, studying Psychology. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.

Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove PA

• Talia Basch, of Simsbury, was named to Susquehanna University's dean's list for the fall 2018 semester. The dean's list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours. Basch, a communications major, is a 2015 graduate of The Ethel Walker School, and the daughter of Alan and Clarissa Basch.

University of Saint Joseph, West Hartford CT

• Eight students from Simsbury have been named to the University of Saint Joseph Dean’s List for the fall 2018 semester. They are Charmaine Arena, Olivia Devine, Brigid Gauthier, Jacqueline Haefs, Catherine Hoelzer, Michael Strumpf, Chelsea Thode and Emily Zepf. Students who are awarded this academic achievement have earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the semester, with no grade lower than a “B.”
