SIMSBURY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

  • Thirty-six students from Eastern Connecticut State University were inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society on March 3. Through a competitive application process, candidates were evaluated on scholarly success as well as involvement in Eastern's campus and surrounding community. Among the inductees was Kaylee West of Tariffville. West majors in Business Administration. Those inducted into this year's Omicron Delta Kappa have a mean GPA of 3.79 and represent a multitude of clubs, organizations and positions on campus. They are continuously giving back to their community and striving for success in a variety of areas.

Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport IA

  • Kelly Kimball of Weatogue has been named to the fall 2018 Dean's List at Palmer College of Chiropractic's main campus in Davenport, Iowa. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must achieve a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 in all studies for the respective term. The highest possible GPA is a 4.0.
