- Riley J Griffiths of Simsbury, an aeronautical engineering major, was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester at Clarkson University. Dean's List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

- Eastern Connecticut State University's Communication Department hosted its annual honor society induction and award ceremony on April 25. At the event 34 new members were inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor Society and awarded for their outstanding accomplishments in the communication major. Upwards of 200 faculty, family, friends and honorees attended the ceremony. Among the honored was Emily Graham of Simsbury, who majors in Communication. Graham was inducted into Lambda Pi Eta and presented with an award for Excellence in Public Relations.
Endicott College, Beverly MA
- Endicott field hockey student-athlete Cami Molinare of Simsbury accomplished a lot over her four-year career at The Nest, but the most significant item on her collegiate resume came on Saturday, May 25 when she addressed the Class of 20190 at Commencement.

- Tufts University recently announced the dean's list for the spring 2019 semester. Simsbury students earning dean's list honors were Iris Becene, Katie Deveaux, Christiana Hug and Kathleen Martensen. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA
- On Saturday, May 11, on the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) campus quadrangle, 1,019 bachelor's degrees were awarded during the university's 151st commencement ceremony. John Pugmire of Simsbury was awarded a bachelor of science degree in computer science, and Spencer Ralphs of Simsbury was awarded a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering with high distinction.
- Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) President Laurie Leshin and Board of Trustees Chairman Jack Mollen presided over the university's 151st Commencement celebrations, awarding over 850 master's and doctoral degrees at the Graduate Ceremony, held on the campus Quadrangle. Christopher Davis of Simsbury was awarded a master of science degree in systems engineering.
