Crash in Simsbury Kills Vehicle Driver
Police have not yet released the name of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin.
SIMSBURY, CT — A single-car crash on Route 10 and 202 in Simsbury late Wednesday morning has claimed the life of an unidentified motorist.
Around 11:27 a.m., the Simsbury Police Department received a report of a motor vehicle accident in front of 282 Hopmeadow Street. The vehicle had traveled off of the road and struck a large tree, police said.
The operator, and only occupant, was transported to St. Francis Hospital by the Simsbury
Volunteer Ambulance Association. While at the hospital, the operator subsequently died from
their injuries, police said.

The name of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification to immediate family, according to police.
The crash remains under investigation by members of the Simsbury Police Department.
