Please join me at the dedication ceremony of the Bataan Corregidor Memorial Bridge (Simsbury's Route 185 bridge) on Saturday, Dec. 7th.
State Senator Witkos & I were pleased to co-introduce legislation in honor of the brave veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice at the Battle of Bataan and the Battle of Corregidor in 1942.
Thank you to Dan Crowley of Simsbury, a U.S. Army veteran of the World War II battles of Bataan and Corregidor, who led the effort to rename the bridge Route 185 bridge over the Farmington River.
The public ceremony will be held in the Pinchot Sycamore Park at 2:00 p.m.
