Despite The Heat, Simsbury Town Hall Parking Lot Project On Schedule
The old pavement has been cleared out at the Hopmeadow Street site, with the re-paving expected to start next week.

SIMSBURY, CT — Efforts to renovate Simsbury Town Hall's parking lot are still on schedule, despite workers enduring brutal heat this past week.
The Town of Simsbury Friday said the renovation project is halfway complete, with the Simsbury Public Works Department "working tirelessly in the heat to complete this project on schedule."

Visitors to the town hall, which is located on Hopmeadow Street, are asked to pay attention to the pavement markings, traffic cones, and signage.
This past week, crews removed the old asphalt parking lot and are preparing for paving, which is expected to start next week.

"This has been a big endeavor and our contractors, as well as our own crews, have been working long hours this week, toiling in the heat to get this project done," wrote the Town of Simsbury. "The good news is that we will be ready for paving next week."
