The Simsbury Historical Society is selling Travelers Championship tickets for $20 each – a nearly 50% discount on the gate price. The Society receives 50% of the revenue from each ticket sold. Tickets are available in The Ellsworth Visitor Center at the Simsbury Historical Society. The Simsbury Historical Society to be partnering with the Travelers Championship through “Birdies for Charity.” The program raises funds for not-for-profits when donors make a pledge; the total donated is determined by the number of birdies made by the PGA TOUR professionals during tournament week. The Travelers Championship will donate 100% of the net proceeds raised by supporters to the Society. Donors can also guessing the total number of Birdies made and the Grand Prize winner may win a 24-Month Lease on a 2013 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid. All funds raised will help the Historical Society raise funds to support its educational programming and its 2-acre site and ten historic buildings. Running June 21-23, The Traveler’s Championship is a fun-filled event, and addition to fabulous golf, the event includes the Subway Fan Zone and Powerstation Concert Series.
