Simsbury Firefighters Save Two Dogs, Two People
All are OK after being rescued from a blaze on Bushy Hill Road early Wednesday morning.
SIMSBURY, CT — Trapped in a burning home's second floor early Wednesday morning, the lives of two occupants and two dogs literally hanged in the balance.
But, according to the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Co. Wednesday, all were rescued and all are doing fine.
According to a department poste on Facebook, both firefighters and police officers teamed up to rescue those trapped in the 2:45 a.m. blaze.

They reported heavy smoke and heat.
"The occupants were transported to the hospital as a precaution," Simsbury firefighters wrote in a Facebook post. "Two dogs also in the home were rescued and are fine."

Firefighters ultimately extinguished the heavy fire that started in the kitchen.
The inferno was mostly contained to the kitchen area with heat and smoke damage throughout the home.
The Simsbury Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire and no injuries were reported.
