Don't Like Waiting at a Hospital or for a Nurse? In Simsbury, Shop While You Wait
St. Francis Hospital has a nurse's office (a "Fast Care Clinic") at Stop & Shop in Simsbury — shop, then respond to the nurse's beeper.

You can save time by combining your food shopping at Stop & Shop with a visit to a nurse at St. Francis Hospital’s “Fast Care Clinic” in the Stop & Shop supermarket at 498 Bushy Hill Rd., Simsbury.
It’s a place to go to if you have a sore throat, ear infection, pink eye or other routine medical problem, and it avoids the cost of an emergency room visit, Elaine McKemmie an advanced practice registered nurse with Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center told WNTH-TV, Channel 8. Visitors to the Fast Care Clinic can also get tests done, get an immunization shot or get their blood pressure tested (here’s a list of services provided).
The hospital will let your regular doctor know about the visit, which can cost $79 if you don’t have health insurance, according to the report. The clinic accepts Medicaid and most insurance policies.
