Author Michael Takiff to Speak

Presidential biographer, Michael Takiff, will be speaking at the Simsbury Public Library on April 29. He will discuss his latest book,  A Complicated Man: The Life of Bill Clinton.

Takiff collected interviews with 160 people, including Clinton's friends, foes, admirers and detractors. Through the candid recollections of his subjects, A Complicated Man leaves no area unexplored, revealing the most complete and unexpected portrait of our forty-second president published to date.

 Michael Takiff is an independent scholar and oral historian whose writing has appeared in the NY Times, Washington Post, and LA Times.  He is also the author of Brave Men, Gentle Heroes: American Fathers and Sons in World War II and Vietnam. Takiff is a cum laude graduate of Yale University.
