FVJC-ES's Cantor Mark Perman performs a tribute to Marvin Hamlisch

"The Simsbury Performing Arts Center will feature a special tribute to the late composer Marvin Hamlisch performed and narrated by Mark J. Perman on Sunday August 26th, 2012 at 3PM.  Mark is the cantor of the Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation in Simsbury and he is a former Broadway performer who had many roles on the professional stage and in TV/Radio commercials.  Mark was honored to have been featured on Broadway in "Shenandoah" with John Cullum at the same time the original "Chorus Line" was running at the Shubert Theater.  Mark is touched to be paying tribute to Hamlisch who gave so much of his incredible talent and creativity over the years to the mediums of theater, tv, and film.  He was one of only 11 to have been awarded the Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, and Tony awards during the course of his prolific career.  Everyone is invited to the performance and presentation on Sunday August 26th at the Simsbury Performing Arts Center bandshell and admission is free.
