From 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Simsbury Farms rink is the annual Holiday Skate and Share event. Residents are asked to bring a non-perishable food stuff to benefit the Simsbury Food Pantry. They and their children then can skate for free for two hours. Children can also get their pictures taken with Santa.
This event is attended by several hundred residents with about 180 photos taken with Santa. The party is a partnership between Simsbury's Parks and Recreation, Social Services, and the Simsbry Police Department.
