
A solo pianist and accompanist, Jerry Traunig's varied repertoire encompasses a wide range of periods and preferences, including standards, ragtime, novelties, show tunes and classical. Jerry is known for his unique style of audience interaction in which he spontaneously includes personalized songs tailored to the moment and the audience. Musically, he adds humor and enlightenment to daily news items, current weather, and day to day struggles. Jerry received his formal training at Hartt College of Music and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, having begun his instruction at age 7 with an array of tutors of differing backgrounds. He has performed throughout New England, Long Island, NYC, the South, Canada and in Florence, Italy. He was formally recommended to perform at the annual Scott Joplin Festival at Joplin's historic home in St. Louis. Please pre-register.
