Join us at the Simsbury Library for Night of 1,000 Stars-- a great community event! If you have yet to experience this fun night, here’s how it works: each “star,” a local Simsbury celebrity, spends two minutes introducing a piece they will be reading from and then reads a three-minute excerpt from their chosen material.
Our emcee, local celebrity Warren Boyle, will introduce this year’s Stars, who include Hartford Courant columnist Rick Green, Simsbury poet laureate Rennie McQuilkin, Harvest Café manager Scott Hauslaib, illustrator Christine Kornacki, cookbook author Eric Bleimeister and more! There will also be musical entertainment provided by The Intonations (with some special guests from the University of Hartford). Coffee, tea and delicious desserts will be served.
The program is free of charge, but seating is limited. Reserve a seat at the Library Reference Desk , or at www.simsburylibrary.info, or by calling at 658-7663. Drop-ins are welcome, space permitting.
