Trinity Church is offering the Parenting Teenagers Course as a resource to all area parents and caregivers.
Being a parent is one of the most important things we will ever do in our lives. It is also one of the most challenging. This is especially true when our kids reach the teen years. This time can be stressful for both parents and teens. There are times when parents feel unprepared, confused and challenged. There are times when parents wish they had a place to ask questions and share concerns as well as our joys with others. We are offering the Parenting Teenagers Course to help parents do this important job well.

On five successive Mondays beginning January 23, we will hold sessions on the various aspects of raising teenagers, including:
Meeting our Teenagers’ Needs, Setting Boundaries, Developing Emotional Health, and Helping Teens to Make Good Choices.

Each session begins with a video presentation featuring real parents sharing their own experiences as well as some advice from counseling professionals. Each evening provides an opportunity for you to share with other parents your questions, concerns and challenges. We begin each evening with a catered meal: no cooking, serving or cleaning up after. Just come and enjoy the evening.
Hosts
Our hosts for the course are Tom and Maryjane Furrer. Together they have raised three teenagers to adulthood. He is the pastor of Trinity. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and director of the Trinity Counseling Center.
