Valentine's Day Contra Dance

Looking for a unique and fun way to celebrate Valentine’s Day?  Make your feet, family and friends happy with
when all of you come to a Valentine’s Day Contra Dance at Eno Memorial Hall February 14!

Jointly sponsored by the Simsbury Historical Society and Simsbury Senior Center, the Contra Dance features caller Jim Gregory and is perfect for beginners and experts; couples, singles, and families. In a fitting connection to the
Historical Society’s co-sponsorship, contra dancing traces its roots to 17th century New England. It combines elements of English country dancing, French minuets and Scottish and Irish village dances; no partner is necessary.   Jim will teach the steps to these fun and easy dances, so don’t be shy if you haven’t done this before.

Hors d’oeuvres and hot mulled cider will be served; Valentine’s Day hugs included!

Tickets are available at the Senior Center and the Historical Society. Proceeds of the dance benefit the Historical Society.
