Former Insurance Buildings in Simsbury to be Demolished
The new owners of the former Hartford Insurance Group property filed for demolition permits Monday.

A sprawling office complex that formerly housed the Simsbury location of The Hartford financial services company will soon be torn down, according to a report in the Hartford Courant.
The New Jersey-based Silverman Group, which bought the 172-acre property in December for just over $8.5 million, filed for demolition permits Monday at town hall.
The Hartford, the 12th-largest property & casualty company in the country, closed the Simsbury location three years ago, shifting all its employees to offices in Windsor and Hartford.
