Four Simsbury Residents Named AP Scholars

(West Hartford) – Four Simsbury residents are among the 42 students from Northwest Catholic who have been named AP Scholars for 2013. Alexandra McKenna ’13 of Simsbury and Thomas Vignati ’13 of West Simsbury were named AP Scholars with Honor, while Adrian Hatch ’13 and Emily Kearney ’13 of Simsbury were named AP Scholars with Distinction.

To be designated an AP Scholar with Honor, students must earn an average score of at least 3.25 on all Advanced Placement Exams taken, and a score of 3 or higher on four or more of the exams. AP Scholars with Distinction must earn an average score of 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and a score of 3 or higher on five or more of the tests.

Since 1961, Northwest Catholic’s mission has been to educate the whole person: mind, body, spirit, and soul. Enrollment for the Class of ’18 is now under way, and prospective students are invited to the Open House at Northwest Catholic on November 3, 2013. For more information, contact Andrew Selig (860-236-4221, x140 or aselig@nwcath.org).
