Friday a Good Day for Ducks in Simsbury

While there may have been some “lucky ducks” in Simsbury on Friday, there were some that were luckier than others.

Friday was the Tootin’ Hills School’s Lucky Duck Race, but while people were getting ready to float some rubber ducks down the Farmington River, there were some real ducks in need.

Luckily for them, the Simsbury Police Department answered the call.

On Friday afternoon, Officer JP Lessard and Officer Laurel Mandel rescued some tiny ducklings from a roadside drain on Talcott Mountain Road at East Weatogue Street.

Talk about some lucky ducks!
