Friends of Simsbury Farms Approve Funding for Several Projects

New additions to Simsbury Farms

The Friends of Simsbury Farms Board of Directors have approved funding two projects to benefit the Facility. The 1st Project to be funded will be the construction of a sod farm for repairing any damage on the greens at the golf course. The project is expected to be completed this fall.

The 2nd approved project is to provide benches at the entrance to the pool facility. These will be installed prior to the pool opening next spring.

The Board of Directors have also agreed to assist the Organizers of the Brian Koscher Memorial Fund in the construction of a pavilion to be located adjacent to the Tennis Court Parking Lot at Simsbury Farms.

The Friends are currently evaluating and prioritizing several other Projects for future funding. One of the larger projects will be the development of a universal signage program for the entire facility. A second major project under consideration, which was suggested at the recent United States Golf Association & American Golf Course Architects site visitation was the construction of a short game practice and teaching facility.
Financial assistance from the Community is always welcome and will benefit all.
