Funds Available For Worthy Simsbury Causes

SIMSBURY, CT — A local benevelonce organization has some funding to give out to worthy causes and its asking the community for ideas.

The Simsbury Advisory Committee — Greater Together Fund is accepting applications for projects directly benefiting the Simsbury community.

The Simsbury Advisory Committee is composed of a diverse group of Simsbury residents and the fund is made possible through the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

The size of each grant will be between $250 and $25,000 and it can be used to benefit a variety of causes.

According to the committee, funding may be used for addressing issues related to diversity, health, human services, disability or mental health services, senior services, education, and recreation/land conservation.

The geographic area served is restricted to Simsbury and partnerships or collaborative efforts are encouraged.

“The Simsbury Greater Together Fund Advisory Committee looks forward to receiving proposals for projects that improve the lives of the people of Simsbury. We believe that through a hyper-local focus, we can most amplify the ongoing work of Simsbury organizations,” said Christine Bilotti Peterson, chairperson of the Simsbury Advisory Committee.
